“I loved this book because the illustrations were so detailed and drew me right into the story. I made my mom read it to me a second time right away, and there are so many things I missed during the first reading. I like stories that are adventurous and imaginative, and this book is both of those. It is unlike any other book I have ever read. I will tell all my friends about this book. I loved it.”

Similarly, One Peace Books' publication of Whispered Words volume 3 isn't perfect but is the closest to ideal of the three omnibus volumes.

The series started as a mostly-comedic ¡Èbest friend with a crush¡É plot, expanding out to almost all the possible Yuri tropes that we were familiar with. For that alone, this was a pretty terrific series. But then the veil of comedy became thinner and thinner and we started to see a serious drama beginning to unfold¡Äand more importantly, the abyss of possible tragedy. In a fascinating sort of reverse meta, the characters are painfully aware of the impending calamity.
